Chiropractic Services

Initial Assessment

(40 mins) - $100

Your first visit is a comprehensive one-on-one assessment that often includes treatment when appropriate, if time allows.

We begin by discussing your symptoms, concerns, overall health, and goals.  From there, we conduct a thorough physical exam to narrow down the root cause of any aches or pains that you’re experiencing. Following the assessment, your chiropractor will provide you with a diagnosis, a clear explanation of the findings, and an individualized treatment plan to get you feeling your best.

At The Well, we prioritize taking time to listen and it is our mission to ensure you leave your initial appointment feeling heard.

Chiropractors are able to refer for x-rays when clinically appropriate.  In most cases, imaging is not warranted right away, nor is it required to provide you with an accurate diagnosis.

Two women are sitting in a room having a discussion. One woman has long blond hair and is facing away. The other woman has medium curly brown hair, is dressed in a navy blue top, and is gesturing with her right hand while holding a model of a human skull in her left hand. A laptop is open on a small table in front of them. The room has a neutral-toned wall, a patterned rug, and some furniture including a brown cushioned chair and a beige couch.

Chiropractic Treatments

(15-20 mins) - $65

With an evidence-based and patient-centred approach, we work with you to meet your specific goals and expectations through a variety of treatment offerings.

Chiropractic treatments at The Well may include spinal manipulation (also known as adjustments), joint mobilization, soft tissue therapy, laser therapy, ergonomic and postural advice, rehabilitation programs, and orthotics.

You always have a say in your treatment plan.  If there are particular interventions that you're not comfortable with, they will not be used.  Full stop. Our chiropractors use a variety of techniques aside from the adjustments that chiropractors are known for.  Patient preference is at the heart of the evidence-based model of care that guides our treatment recommendations.

BioFlex Laser Treatments

(15-45 mins) - $65

Photobiomodulation (or low-level laser therapy) can be used to treat a variety of conditions, such as joint pain, arthritis, muscle strains, and ligament sprains.

Laser works by penetrating deep into the tissue where it stimulates cellular activity, promotes your body’s natural healing process, and reduces inflammation, swelling, and pain.  One of the perks of BioFlex laser is that it's non-invasive and is typically completely painless -- pretty much as close to magic as we’ve seen. For many folks, it’s an effective alternative to medication or surgery, and can be a great place to start in your healing journey.

The Well offers BioFlex laser as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with manual chiropractic treatment.  Treatments are customized to each patient's specific needs, and the duration of treatment can vary from 15-45 minutes depending on the condition.

Chiropractic Treatments with Acupuncture

(30 mins) - $80

Medical acupuncture is a therapeutic method where fine sterile needles are inserted into specific anatomical points and structures. It encourages natural healing, relaxes muscles, reduces pain, and improves function of affected areas of the body. Acupuncture has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of many conditions, both acute and chronic. It is an effective treatment option that has few side effects, which is why it is a beneficial adjunct to typical chiropractic treatments.

Chiropractic Treatments with RAPID NeuroFascial Reset

(30 mins) - $80

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset is a neurologically based, active, therapeutic technique that helps alleviate tension.  Kind of like Buckley’s - RAPID hurts, but it works.  It is important to remember that pain doesn’t always equal damage, and damage doesn’t always equal pain. RAPID NFR is offered as an extended treatment to level up typical treatments with more muscle work.

Pregnancy Care & The Webster Technique

A woman with long blonde hair lying face down on a massage table while a massage therapist with brown hair, wearing a dark blue top, gently massages her neck. The setting is a peaceful room with white walls and a patterned rug.

There are many changes that occur in pregnancy - most notably, a growing bump that causes changes in posture and centre of gravity. These shifts coupled with hormonal events that occur during pregnancy, like Relaxin, can lead to many aches and pains. While it may be common, it doesn’t mean that you have to endure a painful pregnancy. Chiropractic care is a gentle and effective way to help support pregnant patients.

The Webster Technique is a specific way to analyze pregnant patients and help improve the biomechanical function of the sacrum and pelvis. Addressing these structures can aid in the management of low back and pelvic pain, and optimize conditions to allow the baby to get in the proper position for birth.

Infant Chiropractic

Two women in a medical setting with natural light, a framed diploma on the wall, a laptop, and a medical examination table. One woman is sitting on a massage table holding a baby, and the other woman is seated on a chair with her legs crossed, smiling.

Having infants assessed by a chiropractor after birth can set them up for success developmentally, and catch issues before they get out of hand. Regardless of how the baby was delivered (vaginal or c-section), birth puts a lot of stress on a baby’s neck and spine.  This stress is multiplied when interventions like forceps and vacuums are used.

Treatments typically incorporate light muscle work, gentle adjustments (pressing like you’re checking the ripeness of an avocado), stretching, strengthening and education for parents on what they can do at home to support their baby.

Aside from well-baby check-ups, parents often bring babies in with:

  • Side preferences, or torticollis

  • Feeding issues and latch support

  • Head shape concerns

  • Tongue/lip tie

  • Fussiness/colic

  • Gas

  • Excessive “strength” (hint: it’s usually tension)

  • Developmental delays
